Have you ever been frustrated with the inability to remember your password and want to chuck the whole system? You’re not alone, and we’ve got a solution for you: a password safe!
What is a password safe?
A password safe is an encrypted file that only the user can access. This means no one can hack your password (unless they hack your computer, but even then, it’s not as easy). It’s like having a locked door for your passwords. The downside? You need to be near your computer or phone with the app open to use it.
Let’s be honest; most of us have already signed up to less important sites with passwords of 12345678 complexity. But they’re not mail systems, payment solutions, or e-government websites – and we still feel a bit bad about it.
As we’ve mentioned many times before, the solution is a password safe, of which we’ve included two variations in the package for a change. KeePass is a little more awkward to use. Still, in return, its database exists only and exclusively on your computer, so it’s the best solution for those who don’t trust companies (or their admins’ password creation skills).
LastPass, on the other hand, stores our data on the company’s servers, but in return, it’s much more convenient: it’s available on all our devices (only with a premium subscription). It works for us by integrating with our browsers.
Conclusion
A password safe can be a great accessory to have on your phone or computer, as it saves you from the hassle of remembering all those passwords and gives you a more secure way to store sensitive information.
